Father,
In this moment, I’m feeling anxious about the future.
I have such hopes and dreams, but I don’t know if I’ll experience or realize them all.
And that worries me.
I want to be able to pray to you and make what I want to happen happen, but instead of insisting on my will to be done, I ask for you to help me submit to yours.
You are the one that holds my future.
And although I know I can pray to you about anything and ask you for anything, my greater desire is to pray for your kingdom to come and your will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.
I choose to trade my imperfect ideas, plans, and desires with your infallible ones.
I choose to trust that your divine ways and thoughts are higher than my human ones.
And I ask that you speak to my heart on the actions to take to establish your ways, and I commit to obey.
I trust that in my obedience I am safe.
That within my obedience to you is where the true riches of life lay.
How can I stay in anxiousness when you are the guiding light?
Today, I work to exchange my worry for your peace.
And although I don’t know what tomorrow brings, I know that your love is looking out for me.
Help me release the control I don’t have and trust in you completely.
And allow my soul to rest.
I love you Father.
Amen.
